In and out of my entire marketing and design career have been forays into, or projects concerned wholly, with the health care industry.
Moments in Healthcare Design/ Marketing
Shriners Hospitals for Children
The staff of Shriners Hospitals for Children — Philadelphia disliked their national website presence and turned to me to make something better for the local hospital to draw more patients, improve engagement with media, increase individual donations and to highlight the ground-breaking achievements of the staff.
After discussion, we narrowed their goals, in hierarchal order, to obtaining more patients, raising awareness for the cause and fundraising.
The planning was complex — too much so to list here — but here is a focus on how we lifted profile of the physicians by reducing user reading on extraneous matters, focusing their bio around their approach to care and their qualifications.
The project was eventually shut down by their national organization. Still, a good way to feature physicians.
